He serves as the Director of the Amsterdam Center for Learning Analytics (ACLA) and Education Lab NL and has worked as a researcher at the World Bank in Washington, D.C. His research integrates causal and predictive methods with insights from clinical and behavioral psychology to advance social science methodologies.

llja Cornelisz – Associate Professor at the Faculty of Behavioral and Movement Sciences, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. He is affiliated with the Educational Sciences section and LEARN! Research Institute and serves as the founder and director of the Amsterdam Center for Learning Analytics (ACLA).
